When it comes to buying a 4×4, Adam Shanley knows the market as well as most.
The Hampshire marketing director has owned a number of leading SUV brands, including Range Rover and an Audi Q7. He’s also considered a towing expert from when he worked at Caravan Monthly magazine where he would review many vehicles of this type. But Adam rates the new Volkswagen Touareg as the best he’s ever driven.
Adam was one of the first owners of the car that some journalists are saying is the best value for money 4×4 on the market. He can’t recommend it enough since he took out a three year lease from the Peter Cooper Motor Group’s Volkswagen site in Hedge End.
“Getting a new car is always fantastic, I love the experience and excitement; but this is the best car I’ve had – I can’t praise it highly enough,” said Adam.
He added: “It’s a big, safe family car with plenty of boot space. It feels luxurious and comes with an amazing internal display consol. The 3 litre V6 engine delivers great torque and all round performance and of course the sound system is fantastic too!”
“Everyone who’s been in the car is surprised how high end the interior feels, with really impressive build quality as well. I had the previous Touareg which I loved, but I have to say this is a big step up from that. Having driven most of its rivals in this class, I would say this is an experience ahead of all the others and represents great value for money.”
Peter Cooper Motor Group managing director, Darren Cooper, added: “We are delighted Adam is so taken with his new Touareg. We have received amazing feedback and would highly recommend anyone in the market for an SUV to come and test drive the new Touareg, it really is impressive. It is the flagship model of Volkswagen’s SUV range which are all class leaders, from the soon to arrive T-Cross, through to the award winning T-Roc and Tiguan.”
