Steve Pratt is on track to raise thousands of pounds for charity – but he’s doing it the hard way.
Steve, who works as a Transaction Manager at our Peter Cooper Volkswagen Hedge End dealership by day has been getting into gear at weekends training for a 260 mile cycle ride.
It’s all part of Saints Foundation’s Big Bike Challenge which will test over local 20 cyclists to ride from Huddersfield Town’s football stadium to Southampton FC’s St Mary’s over two days.
Steve, who only started cycling six months ago, said: “A friend of mine has a boy with cerebral palsy and benefits from the work The Saints Foundation carries out. I thought it would be nice to put something back and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
Group managing director of The Peter Cooper Group, Darren Cooper, said: “It’s an incredible journey for Steve. Anyone who rides long distances will know how demanding the challenge will be. Everyone at Peter Cooper wishes him all the best.”
The Saints Foundation, official charity of Southampton FC, exists to change the lives of children, young people and adults at risk across the Southampton and surrounding areas.”
