Peter Cooper Modifications in the driving seat with renowned Team HARD. Racing

South Coast based Peter Cooper Modifications (PCM) has announced a new partnership with Team HARD. Racing, marking an exciting development in the highly anticipated 2023 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) campaign.

The partnership will not only see PCM, part of the Peter Cooper Motor Group, become the official sponsor of the racing team, but also involved in a comprehensive technical collaboration between the two entities.

Team HARD. Racing, based in Kent, will offer the same full range of modifications and enhancements PCM currently offers at its All Makes and Models Centre in Hedge End Southampton, as well as the latest specialist developments used on its award winning BTCC race cars.

Darren Cooper, Managing Director at The Peter Cooper Motor Group, commented:

“This is very exciting news for our customers who want the very best in vehicle modifications. The newly created partnership represents a shared vision for excellence and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance, bringing motorsport closer to the everyday vehicle user.

“All Team Hard. Racing vehicles will display the PCM logo, and we have unlimited access to the racing teams technical expertise including remapping, suspension upgrades, air intake solutions, aero dynamic changes through body kits, splitters and spoilers, which will mean the enhancements available to our customer vehicles will be almost endless.”

Another element of the partnership is the Road Car to Race Car challenge. PCM has supplied Team Hard. Racing with a road legal SEAT Cupra, which they will heavily modify to create a road-going version of the BTCC 2023 championship Cupra.

Darren added: “We will record each element of the changes made to the Cupra so that we are able to track both the visual and performance enhancing modifications, with the challenge being set, to get a road going Cupra to equal the racetrack time of a championship BTCC vehicle.”

Tony Gilham, owner of Team HARD. Racing, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating: “We are delighted to welcome PCM as our official partner for this BTCC campaign. PCM’s reputation for delivering exceptional modifications and its dedication to precision align perfectly with what we are aiming to achieve. Together, we aim to raise the bar and offer a range of services to the UK automotive market.”
