Peter Cooper sponsors Wessex Cancer Trust in 2011
Managing Director of Peter Cooper Volkswagen, Darren Cooper, said: “We are delighted to support this cause right across the group during our 30th year of trading. Having asked the staff to select their preferred charity, Wessex Cancer Trust came out with a clear majority vote.
The charity has been doing some fantastic work for many years and we are looking forward to a close relationship. The fact that we are both celebrating 30 years makes it all the more fitting.”
In its first big fundraising drive, The Peter Cooper Group supported the charity’s year long raffle with a Volkswagen Polo as the main prize available, which raised many thousands of pounds.
Darren added: “Providing a car for the raffle was just one of the ways we are planning to support the charity next year. We will also be looking to donate thousands of pounds through a number of fundraising initiatives which will hopefully gain the involvement of all of our customers and staff.”
