The Peter Cooper Volkswagen Group continues to support south coast teams including Havant & Waterlooville FC, Bognor FC and Eastleigh FC as well as Portsmouth Rugby Club.
The club has recently strengthened its ties with Eastleigh FC sponsoring its manager, Ian Baird. Ian kicked off the start of the new season in style taking delivery of a new Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion. Baird, a former striker for Southampton, Leeds and Portsmouth, is enjoying his fourth season at the club. In his maiden season he led them to 6th, their highest ever finish, and then in the 2008-2009 season narrowly missed out on promotion through a heart-breaking
defeat to Hayes and Yeading United.
As you can imagine, Baird knows a great finish when he sees one and said: “It’s a great car to drive and I’m delighted with the partnership with Peter Cooper. They are long standing supporters of the club and we look forward to continuing this relationship.”
